The first film in the highly anticipated Dead 2 movie franchise makes its debut today at theaters everywhere. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen an zombie movie this good, and I bet lots of people are raving about it. With a cast that includes Sung Hye Sung, Park Si Won, and Kim Tae Hee, Into the Dead 2 looks set to be a real winner.
Just like the first movie, Into the Dead 2 looks to be going with a storyline that revolves around a group of scientists who are attempting to find a cure for a virus that has killed off all but a few of their colleagues. Once they succeed in doing so, however, a new infected outbreak starts. This time, however, all of the zombies are alive. This time, though, they come out of the wood-eating grasses and come riding on a giant truck (yes, you can drive this! ).
From the get go, the fighting in Into the Dead 2 is very intense as you have to decide which character you want to be during your quest to save the world. You get to pick from Leelee run, Rich go, and other various survivors you meet along the way. The fighting and frantic action of the trailers have me very interested in the game’s overall storyline. Since I love zombie games, it’s very exciting to see what sort of gameplay is offered in this game.
Unfortunately, the plot turns out to be far from ridiculous. Yes, it’s a bit over-the-top, but it’s still a pretty fun game. The action is frantic and thrilling, as you hack and slashing your way through hordes of the undead. The story is well-written, and the voice acting is top-notch, especially Sung Hye Sung, who does a fantastic job of bringing the character of Dr. Albert Wesker to life. Overall, it’s a well-made auto-run zombie survival game that many people will enjoy playing.
Zombies in Into the Dead 2 are a great deal different than the norm. For starters, you have to shoot zombies with a shotgun before they go into a spin mode, which is basically just like playing the traditional flash game. The twist is that you also need to shoot zombies while they’re in this mode as well, so it gets quite difficult after a while. However, once you master this first part of gameplay, you’ll enjoy the rest of the game quite a bit.
There are several weapons in Into the Dead 2, and each has their own specific use. For example, there’s an automatic shotgun that has a high rate of fire and an amazing zoom ability. You can also use assault rifles, hand grenades, and machine guns to take down zombies quickly and efficiently. Other weapons include a large gas tank that can be used to refill your gas gauge as well as a minibus that causes a huge amount of mayhem when used to ferry zombies around.
One thing I really like about Into the Dead 2 is how the game plays fast. Zombie outbreaks happen very quickly in this game, so you’re constantly being forced to move and find a gun or another weapon to eliminate the threat. Because the gameplay is so action-packed, you never really have a chance to relax and do anything besides killing zombies. Although it’s easy to get frustrated, it’s also satisfying to see your efforts pay off when you kill dozens or even hundreds of zombies in a short period of time. You’ll want to replay previous levels to try to repeat the same tasks you didn’t do correctly the first time, just to see if you can do it with style.
One major problem I have with Into the Dead 2 is the fact that the actual game takes a very long time to complete. Even with powerful gaming computers, it took me more than four hours to complete all the sixty levels. It can be quite boring, but there’s nothing wrong with trying. The overall concept of the game is great – lots of undead, lots of guns, lots of zombies – it’s just that the level design isn’t very interesting. Other than that, I really recommend this zombie game.
